❝Armenian Pianist Tigran Tatevosyan moved to Hamburg as recently as 2020. Thus, today’s stream marks the Hamburg debut of this outstanding young artist. About his music, he says, ‘Folk music of any culture has a special harmonic language, which in combination with jazz results in something completely new.
Half of today’s evening’s program consists of original compositions, which were created on the basis of this idea.
You will hear modern jazz with echoes of the rhythms, melodies and harmonies of Armenian folk music.
The second part of the concert will be dedicated to a selection of jazz standards, arranged for both piano trio and solo piano.’❞
