❝On the path of discovering and reconnecting with her polish roots the singer Iga Osowska started to dive deep into the variety of artists of the polish cultural scene.
With her warm and powerful voice she tries to put their art into new shapes and bring polish culture to Germany to empower and connect these two countries – her homes.
Along with her band she combines elements of jazz and pop in their own compositions and arrangements and presents a colourful and cultural diverse evening.❞

❝Armenian Pianist Tigran Tatevosyan moved to Hamburg as recently as 2020. Thus, today’s stream marks the Hamburg debut of this outstanding young artist. About his music, he says, ‘Folk music of any culture has a special harmonic language, which in combination with jazz results in something completely new.
Half of today’s evening’s program consists of original compositions, which were created on the basis of this idea.
You will hear modern jazz with echoes of the rhythms, melodies and harmonies of Armenian folk music.
The second part of the concert will be dedicated to a selection of jazz standards, arranged for both piano trio and solo piano.’❞

Filip Dinev is a guitarist/composer of Macedonian heritage, based in Hamburg, known for his unique sound, touch and compositional approach. “Szvetlo” is his newest international album release.❞

❝Awarded first place in competitions such as “Northern European Jazz Talent 2019” and the “International Big Band Contest 2019”, the drummer Dominic Harrison completes his bachelor’s degree with Holger Nell at the “Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hamburg” with this concert.

After an almost lifelong journey through different musical genres, with the start of his studies in 2016, he intensively began to study jazz in all its forms and to live and love it.

In addition to the HfMT, he gained valuable practical experience in the outstanding Landesjugendjazzorchester of Hamburg and Brandenburg. His development led to concerts and collaborations with artists such as Randy Brecker, Joris Teepe and Gabriel Coburger. His own various projects also include “The Collective Abroad”, which emerged from the European Jazzlab 2019 – a band with outstanding European talents – which tours regularly in Germany and Scandinavia.

In this concert Dominic Harrison introduces his new band, presenting rather unknown treasures from the great jazz repertoire in his own handwriting.❞

❝In their joint project Poems of Eve, Jonathan Ihlenfeld Cuñado and Kiki Manders transform own compositions and arrangements of selected songs, in poetry and tales, in the intimate setting of a duo formation. For both of them Indian rhythms are just as fascinating as the beauty of a simple folk song.❞

❝DEMILUNE is the name of the jazz duo consisting of the singer CLEO and the pianist Sandro Sáez, two Hamburg musicians who are already an integral part of the young German jazz scene. The duo plays a mixture of their own compositions and jazz standards and embarks on a spontaneous and risky journey of discovery through a colorful mix of emotions and sounds. The duo’s music is tinged with gloomy melancholy and, at the same time, child-like, dreamy melodies that give the music a charming wit and with that a pleasant lightness again and again.❞

❝In this extraordinary combination of bass and vocals, these two artists perform original songs (from the San Glaser Band) – usually only heard in the live and album band versions – as well as some of their favorite jazz classics.

Mutual trust, a great joy in playing, a respect for space and reduction and the common search for the bare essence of each individual song are common themes from their unique show.

Her voice has that certain mixture of melodiousness and “dirt” that a singer needs in order to convey happiness, pain and everything in between. Emotional yet profound and above all, convincing.
